Experimenting with Texture

I have been interested in using Texture with HDR pictures for a quite a bit. Coincidentally, Blake posted a nice tutorial video on  High Pass Texturing couple of days ago on his blog so I decided to give it a shot. The video offers nice step by step instructions along with a new method which Blake coined as Rudis Texturing. I didn't follow every step from the video but it gave me enough ideas to work on my own. Just in case if you do not like my image do not blame Blake's tutorial. This is my first attempt so any suggestions or criticisms are highly welcome. Below I have step by step instruction. I only know two ways to blend  image with texture, either by using Overlay, Soft Light and Hard Light depending upon your preference or using a layer of mask. In my case I used the latter one.

SERIOUSLY IT LOOKS BETTER HERE

STEPS INVOLVED
1. This shot was taken hand-held at f2.8 at 17mm, ISO 100 in RAW with Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5
2. Converted into three exposures (0,-2, +2 ev) using Raw Editor in Photoshop
3. Using Photomatix Pro 4.0.1 generated HDR using detail enhancer option
4. Post Processing
      -   Post processing was done in Photoshop
      -   Selective selection using Color Range on the horse
      -   Topaz Adjust (trial version) on the horse to get back the colors and details
      -   Level layer on the whole image
      -   Curve layer on the whole image
      -   Watermark using Drop Shadow and Bevel & Emboss Effects
      -   Added grunge texture as layer of mask with desired Opacity and Fill
      -   Further added a layer of Levels and Curve
      -   Hue/Saturation on the whole image
      -   Photo Filter layer on the entire image (yellow toning)
