No matter how many museums, churches, buildings or cityscape I shot, I will always be a landscape photographer at heart. The preparation and anticipation that you put together for a landscape photography adds lot of climax then when you finally manage to capture one decent shot after hundred attempts may be more, the joy that you get is awesome. I wish I could say the same thing about this picture. I totally underestimated my route so I was stuck in traffic for half an hour but I manage to get the last few minutes of this beautiful sunrise as result sky looks dull. This picture was taken using a tripod at three exposures (0, -2, +2ev) at f9.5 at 17mm, ISO 100 with Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5. Then I used Photomatix to create a HDR image. I also added finishing touch in Photoshop.

Here is a closer view of the Mather Gorge at Great Falls Park. This picture was taken using a tripod at three exposures (0, -2, +2ev) at f9.5 at 25mm, ISO 100 with Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5.

Sun was peaking through on the other side. This picture was taken using a tripod at three exposures (0, -2, +2ev) at f9.5 at 17mm, ISO 100 with Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5.
